Clayburn Village Store & Tea Shop
A step back in time in a restored 1912 country store and tea shop to enjoy fresh currant scones with devonshire cream and local jam. Also available are homemade sandwiches, soups and desserts using local ingredients. Look for British specialties such as Melton Mowbray Pies, Cornish Pasties and Ploughman's Lunch.
Today I didnt have time to have a scone after my sausage roll with Branston pickle, so I took a bag home with me, to enjoy this evening. This tea house, has the best coffee I have ever tasted. I am completely spoilt even for Tim Hortons. I think they serve 'illy' brand coffee. I must check so I can make it at home, to go with their great scones.
